Walensky said there were 46,318 cases of COVID-19 reported Wednesday, with a 7-day average of 37,700 cases per day — up 53% from the previous week. Hospital admissions average about 3,500 per day, an increase of 32%. The 7-day average of deaths is 237 — a 19% increase from the previous week.
Meanwhile, there are now 162 million Americans who are fully vaccinated against COVID-19.
Areas with low vaccination coverage continue to have the highest case numbers, she reported, with unvaccinated people accounting for 97% of hospitalizations and deaths.
But there may be early signs of progress. The four states with highest case rates — Arkansas, Florida, Louisiana, and Nevada — had a higher rate of new vaccinations, compared to national average over the past week, White House COVID-19 Response Coordinator Jeff Zients said.
He also announced that the administration will send $100 million to nearly 2,000 rural health clinics to support vaccine education and outreach efforts.
Walensky said despite the rising numbers, the CDC mask guidance remains the same, but she encouraged vaccinated people to wear masks if they choose.
«Whether you are vaccinated or not, please know we together are not out of the woods yet,» she said. «We are yet at another pivotal moment in this pandemic, with cases rising again and hospitals reaching their capacity in some areas.»

Todos estos anuncios contra los que no se han vacunados estan bien mas o menos, estarían realmente bien si ademas dieran las estadísticas de todos aquellos que se vacunaron y ahora estan infestados por el covid. Es mas propaganda que otra cosa. Lo interesante y peligroso es que podrían estar en los cierto, pero no sabremos hasta en unos años realmente si la vacuna realmente ayuda o a la larga perjudicara, incluso a que parte de la población ayuda y a que parte le ocasionara otros problemas iguales o peores que el mismo covid.

el punto de la vacunación no es que uno no se enferme, eso no es evitable. Uno puede por todos los medios disminuir la probabilidad de algo y sentirse bien consigo por ello, usar máscaras dobles, mantener distancias, y lavado constante de manos y demás, y nada de esto evitar que le arrebaten a Trump dos elecciones presidenciales seguidas.
ellos campanean desde todas las torres mayores, los mismos que cometieron el fraude contra Trump en noviembre pasado, luego de una guerra asquerosa sin cuartel de 4 anos, … campanean que esta ultima ola de enfermos severos y muertes es sobre todo de no vacunados. Con ese recurso estan llevando a los que hemos resistido hasta aqui a creeles esta vez, o a jugarte la vida si la mitad de lo que cuentan es cierto.
Yo por si las moscas, me acabo de meter en el experimento, me hice poner la primera dosis de Moderna, que me parece la mas efectiva, dado el resultado de un estudio grande realizado de diciembre a marzo, muestra de mas de 50 mil vacunados, y en el que la Moderna tuvo mas de 98% de efectividad, contra 96 la pfizer.
de los efectos a largo plazo, como comentas, no sabremos con mayor seguridad hasta el ano que viene, ahi empezaran a surgir esas sorpresas.
Tome la decision que me parece menos mala, en este caos que se sigue viviendo
